For civil, structural & software engineers

You can read a load path.
Can you read a P&L?

Two skills. Six sessions, online. Read a company’s financial statements well enough to know where your bonus and career stand, and run the numbers that get your designs approved. Taught by two coaches who between them hold the finance credentials and have run the engineering projects.

Free. No call required. One email, the syllabus attached.

The gap

Your technical judgment stops at the point where money starts.

Engineers are trained to be right. Organisations promote people who can be right and defend the number. That second skill is not taught in any engineering programme, and generic business content does not close it.

01

You own the design. Someone else owns the decision.

The option you know is right gets cut in a meeting you were not in, on a spreadsheet you never saw. Fluency is what gets you into that room.

02

The ceiling is linguistic, not technical.

Senior engineer to project or programme lead is a change of language (cash flow, margin, risk-adjusted return), not a change of competence.

03

You already do the hard part.

A discounted cash flow is a load case applied over time. Sensitivity analysis is a safety factor with an argument attached. The maths is not the obstacle. The vocabulary is.

04

Generic business content does not transfer.

Consumer-brand case studies will not teach you to price a variation claim, defend a contingency, or argue for capex against a payback threshold.

How it works

Four steps. Nothing theoretical.

Every cohort is anchored to work you are actually doing. You bring a live project, a real budget, or a decision you have to defend this quarter.

Six weeks
  1. Step 01

    Syllabus, then a call

Ask for the syllabus and it arrives by email. Reply and we find 45 minutes: we map your current role, the role you want, and the specific commercial gap between them. Written summary follows, whether or not you join.

  2. Step 02

    Bring your project

You nominate one live project, budget or decision from your own work. Every session applies to it. You are not working through invented case studies. You do not need to share confidential company data. Use anonymised or rounded numbers.

  3. Step 03

    Six coaching blocks

Weekly, live, small group. Each session ends with one artefact you keep: a model, a forecast, a costed argument. No video library. Recordings stay available for 14 days.

  4. Step 04

    Applied review

You present a real decision to the coaches and your cohort, and defend it. You leave with a one-page memo in the form your management actually reads.

The coaches

Credentialled in finance. Experienced in engineering.

Two coaches, both sides of the table. Neither teaches from a textbook they have not worked from.

Hardworking, even on Sunday.

What the half price buys us

A written testimonial we may attribute to you by name, and twenty minutes of honest feedback after session six. That is the whole trade, and it is why cohort one costs what it costs.

Session one, or your money back

Come to the first session. If it is not what you expected, tell us before session two and we refund the full amount. No forms, no reasons required.
